Strips of batik cotton fabric are cut then wrapped around a poly cord which gives the basket a firm shape. The wrapped cording is then stitched by sewing machine using a zig-zag stitch and formed into different shapes and sizes of baskets. The stones on each of the baskets were found on the rock bars of the Root River. Each stone is unique with a NATURAL hole. Natural wood pieces that I find are also used as basket handles. Each year I create a new design or two.
