DRIFTLESS URBAN ORCHESTRA
1:30 PM
The Driftless Urban Orchestra, or DUO, is a professional chamber ensemble dedicated to creating more equitable opportunities in the performing arts arena from the music performed to the communities we serve. Whether embracing works from traditionally underrepresented composers or challenging some of the traditional barriers to entry with classical music, DUO is excited to add to the rich music traditions of the region and present works that are representative of our community as a whole.

Tania Tandias Flamenco & Spanish Dance Company specializes in dance forms from Spain, including both flamenco and classical Spanish styles. Tania Tandias Flamenco & Spanish Dance has performed with major companies, including the Madison Opera in their productions of Carmen and La Traviata and with Kanopy Dance. Along with performing at numerous schools, festivals and clubs, Tania Tandias Flamenco & Spanish Dance has also appeared in the Madison Area Dance Festival, The Overture Center’s International Festival and Musical Memories series, Art Fair on the Square, and at the WI Conservatory of Music.
SEASAW
4:30 PM
Starting out as a two-piece folk band obsessed with CocoRosie, Seasaw has now fully bloomed into the fuzzed out rock and roll stepchild of their former selves. Seasaw lives for metamorphosis and continues to get comfortable embracing the flux.
Proudly admitting that they both cry at least once a day, you would never get that from the exuberant and playful songs Seasaw has released so far. Embracing that emotional catharsis seems to be the trick that allows Seasaw to thoroughly feel, cope with, and then eventually enjoy the fun that is to be had in this life.
Seasaw has performed alongside Chvrches, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Shakey Graves, NNAMDÏ, Overcoats, Horsegirl, Lucius, Nada Surf, and many others.
THE BRAIDED JANES
6:00 PM
The Braided Janes is a post punk, Latin alternative band from Chicago, IL led by Jessica Rodriguez (vocals, guitar), wife Juny Alvarez (drums) and Andrew Doyle (bass, electric guitar). The Braided Janes have made an undeniable impact in the music scene with their statement-making, tropi-alt-rock music. Bilingual and multicultural, their music transcends barriers, mixing eclectic global sounds with Rodriguez’s powerful vocals and sexy electronic beats. Their recently released album “Renacer” was recorded in Colombia by Grammy Winner Christian Castagno and was hailed a “bold and genre-bending statement.” by The Advocate.
